On saturday an elderly man was given a fancy hat. Charles Mountbatten-Windsor arrived at westminster abbey on Saturday, both he and his wife were given fancy hats, and left shortly after in a golden carriage. The presenting of these hats to mr and mrs Mountbatten-Windsor has sparked widespread celebration throughout the country, and the BBC have called it "history in the making".
